VQ Academy has been co-founded by Dr Vibha and Dr Vandna who are stalwarts of the medical coding industry. Their vision is to enhance the vocational quotient of their trainees to make them immediately employable so that they can become key resources in their organizations.
Both of them have been past local chapter presidents, exam proctors and licenced AAPC instructors. Under their guidance, VQ academy has created a curriculum which focuses on applied knowledge of medical coding. This ensures that candidates acquire not just the certification but also the tools for a successful career. They educate such that the coders understand how, when and where to apply medical coding knowledge and also be industry ready at all times by knowing how best to use available resources.
A pioneer in the field of medical coding, she started her coding career in 1998 as an interventional radiology coder. From evaluation and management to medicine – her coding experience covers it all. She has been instrumental in transitioning and setting up processes for leading coding companies in multiple entities. Her in depth understanding of operational challenges have helped her develop training content that is practical and in sync with the requirements of the industry.
Starting off as a trainer and compliance auditor in 1998, she has been responsible for setting up teams in many verticals such as medical transcription, coding, risk adjustment, HEDIS, CDI and home
health. Having been an auditor herself, she understands the nuances of the ever-changing medical coding field and the importance of keeping the training updated with current compliance policies.
